Our first snow this season came pretty late this year. We had our 1st snow last year in November . Many people told me this winter will be bad as we have not had one bad one for 5 years. My neighbor Nancy told me one of the tell tale sign is the deer fur are much thicker and darker and also the beetles are huge. So we have to wait and see if this is true or not. I might not have to shovel much snow this season as I will be going back to Malaysia for Chinese New Year. I can't wait to go home for some warm weather ;)
All my potted plants are death.
Except for this one in the house given to me by SC. Just look at the beautiful flowers.

Thanks for posting the picture of the Christmas cactus...it's funny how even that leaves a lump in my throat but so glad you are taking care of it and like it. It was sad to see my neighbour leaving the big pot of Jade plant on his driveway to wither away. I had that for 11 years. Sigh...
When are you going back to Malaysia? I will be going back for CNY too.
Weather here is still pretty mild. Gingko trees are a beautiful golden yellow in color now.

SC, the plants is growing very well and so excited to see so many flowers. They were pretty. I should arrive in KL on the 5th of Feb. Maybe we can meet up somewhere.

Gert, lucky you to skip the worst winter and celebrate CNY with your family. You don't have to worry about shoveling the snow. Is Carlos going with you?
