Weather was beautiful yesterday so Carlos and I decided to go to Manayunk (pronounced at ManEyak) in PA. Is about 45 minutes driving from our house. Manayunk is a neighborhood in the northwestern section of the city of Philadelphia, and is located on the banks of the Schuylkill River, it contains the first canal begun in the United States (although not the first completed due to budget problems). The name Manayunk came from the language of the Lenape Indians and they referred to the Schuylkill River as "Manaiung". Manaiung is the Lenape word for river which literally translates as "place to drink". You can read about the history of Manayunk here.
We just walk around, looking at some of the stores, having coffee and lunch there and also trying to find a new sofa set for our family room. Here are some of the pictures I took when we were there.
The famous Schuylkill River
Some of the old buildings there
Mural on the wall
Manayunk Brewing Company over look the river
Some of the beautiful tiles we saw from the tiles store
It was just too bad we can't find the sofa we like but nevertheless we had a wonderful time walking around, enjoying the food and people and most of all being together.

Reading Terminal Market in PA
Carlos had a day of for Good Friday and we went down to Philly to check on Diana's mail and we also stop by at Reading Terminal Market in PA.
The Reading Terminal Market, established in 1892 at 12th and Arch Streets, is the nation’s oldest continuously operating farmers’ market.
At you can enjoy eating virtually every type of cuisine, from sublime soul food and exquisite Asian and Middle Eastern dishes to authentic Philly Cheesesteaks and traditional Pennsylvania Dutch fare — all available from largely family-run stands.
You can browse everything from hand made imported crafts and American quilts to fresh produce, dairy products, exotic meats and seafood, freshly cut flowers, cookbooks and expertly prepared foods ranging from cannolis and soft pretzels to gourmet South Asian and organic vegetarian cuisine.
Here are some of the pictures I took at the Market.
Lots of Handicraft
There's even a seafood store with my last name on it :)

Hallelujah by K.D Lang
I used to love this song in the 80's and completely forgotten about it until I heard Jason Castro sang this on American Idol and I think he sang it really well. There are a few version of it and one of them is by the late Jeff Buckley but I think KD Lang is the one that really has the most beautiful voice. I was moved to tears each time I listen to her sing this.
Hallelujah by K.D Lang
Album: Hymns of the 49th Parallel [Nonesuch] (2004)
I heard there was a secret chord
That David played, and it pleased the Lord
You don't really care for music, do ya?
It goes like this
The fourth, the fifth
The minor fall, the major lift
The baffled king composing Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Your faith was strong but you needed proof
You saw her bathing on the roof
Her beauty and the moonlight over threw ya
She tied you
To a kitchen chair
She broke your throne, and she cut your hair
And from your lips she drew Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Baby I've been here before,
I've seen this room and I've walked those floor,
I used to live alone before I knew ya
But I've seen your flag on the marble arch,
Our love is not a victory march,
It's a cold and its a broken hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Maybe there's a God above,
But all I've ever learnt from love,
Is how to shoot somebody who outdrew ya,
It's not a cry that u hear at night,
It's not someone who sees the light,
It's a cold and broken hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah
