Shopping Spree

Carlos and I is not a huge shopping fan. We will normally go on a shopping spree 2 or 3 times a year. We went shopping at Lancaster outlets last week as we can get better bargains than the normal stores.

Lancaster also know at Amish or Pennsylvania Dutch Country. Here you'll discover Amish communities where life moves at a slower pace and centers around time-honored traditions and values. You'll find beautiful scenery dotted with one-room schoolhouses and wooden covered bridges, modern farm machinery being pulled behind four-and six-mule teams, homemade clothing and quilts gently blowing in the breeze, and where you'll hear the clip-clop of horses' hooves echoing down quiet country roads.

The relaxing atmosphere, the peaceful scenery, and the variety of their many unique attractions and family activities have made Lancaster County one of America's favorite vacation destinations. Over five million people visit Lancaster County each year. Many people return here year after year because they find Lancaster County so special.

You will find a lot of farm land run by the Amish people along the way

Tag - Life is Full Of Gratitude

Thanks to Ching of Little Corner of Mine for this tagged, this is a good opportunity for me to share the blessings I have in life that I am thankful enough. Sometimes we take our lives for granted and we just don't take a lot of time to stop and smell the roses. I have so much to be thankful for and here are some of them.

1) I am thankful to have such a wonderful husband who is my friend, my lover and my soul mate who loves and adores me and I love him just the same.

2) I really appreciate having roof over my head, always having food on the table and money to spend.

3) I'm thankful for my family who is always there to love me, support me no matter what and for that I am really grateful.

4) I am lucky to have so many beautiful friends whom I know personally and also from the web even though we have not met personally. Each one is very special and dear to my heart.

5) I am thankful and grateful for all that I have experienced in my life - both the good times and the bad. Through the laughter and tears I have become a better person.

6) I am grateful and thankful that God has been taking very good care of me. All though I am not in the best of health but I am grateful to be alive and God has kept me safe and protected me too many times.

In order to be able to achieve and maintain happiness we need to, actively, be able to do two things: Complain and then let go (Dump the baggage, the roadblocks to happiness.) Express Gratitude (The open expression of gratitude promotes happiness.) After all everyone has something to be grateful for and/or something to complain about. If you would like to share, please follow the appropriate link and do so: “Are You Grateful?”, “Complain Complain Complain.”

Spring Is Here!!

Spring finally show up in this part of the country. Weather is in the 70’s for the past few days and you can see people walking in shorts and flip flop. You can hear bird chirping early in the morning, tulips and daffodils popping out from the ground and the cherry blossoms in full blooming. I can keep away all the heavy jackets and send all our sweaters to the dry cleaner. Carlos already helps me to clean up all my dead plants and I am all ready for my tomatoes planting this year. I am actually not looking forward to plant the tomatoes because of the horn worms but when I think of the sweet juicy tomatoes I just have to plant it again. One thing for sure Carlos will have to tend to the plants for me :) Beside that I plan to plant lettuce, chilies, herbs, sawi and maybe some peas.

Here are some pictures I took from the neighborhood.

Flowers from Home Depot. So which flowers do you think I should plant this year?

Why Women Are So Special

I received this forward from a friend of mine and wanted to share it with you.

Mum and Dad were watching TV when Mum said, "I'm tired, and it's getting late. I think I'll go to bed." She went to the kitchen to make sandwiches for the next day lunches.. Rinsed out the popcorn bowls, took meat out of the freezer for supper the following evening, checked the cereal box levels, filled the sugar container, put spoons and bowls on the table and started the coffee pot for brewing the next morning.

She then put some wet clothes in the dryer, put a load of clothes into the washer, ironed a shirt and secured a loose button. She picked up the game pieces left on the table, put the phone back on the charger and put the telephone book into the drawer. She watered the plants, emptied a wastebasket and hung up a towel to dry. She yawned and stretched and headed for the bedroom. She stopped by the desk and wrote a note to the teacher, counted out some cash for the excursion and pulled a text book out from hiding under the chair. She signed a birthday card for a friend, addressed and stamped the envelope and wrote a quick note for the grocery store. She put both near her bag.

Mum then washed her face with 3 in 1 cleanser, put on her Night Solution & age fighting moisturizer, brushed and flossed her teeth and filed her nails. Dad called out, "I thought you were going to bed." "I'm on my way," she said. She put some water into the dog's dish and put the cat outside, then made sure the doors were locked and the patio light was on. She looked in on each of the kids and turned out their bedside lamps and radios, hung up a shirt, threw some dirty socks into the basket, and had a brief conversation with the one up still doing homework. In her own room, she set the alarm; laid out clothing for the next day, straightened up the shoe rack. She added three things to her 6 most important things to do list. She said her prayers, and visualized the accomplishment of her goals.

About that time, Dad turned off the TV and announced to no one in particular. "I'm going to bed." And he did...without another thought. Anything extraordinary here? Wonder why women live longer...?
